This page is hastily written, and will be revised eventually.

Emulating an NES

The Emulation of an NES is mostly just the art of downloading the emulator and the ROM image, and opening the ROM with the emulator to play.  On Windows, I use FCE Ultra, which can be downloaded here.  Zophar's Domain has a good page for Macintosh emulators, which I have no experience with.

Emulating a Super Nintendo (SNES)

For DOS and Windows, download ZSNES and unzip it to the location of your choice.  Then download the ROM image you want to run (I-II-III or HotM) and open it with ZSNES.  On a Macintosh, I recommend SNES9x, and once again, Zophar's Domain comes through with a short list of others.

Emulating a Game Boy

Go to the Visual Boy Advance HomePage.  Go to the downloads page, and scroll down a bit.  For Windows, you can get the 1.7.2 version, but for Mac OS X, you need to scroll down to the 1.7 release.  It is a stand-alone application, so you can just download the ROM you wish to run, and open it with VBA.
