now it didn't have a decent FAQ. This is basically an complete resource on the
first Wizardry scenario with stats, questions, info, and other stuff on the
historic computer game.

4. My characters keep changing alignment, why??!
When you encounter a party of friendly monsters, if you are evil and don't
attack you will be turned good, if you are good and attack you will be turned
evil.
5. Why do I pass out when I enter the elevator?
You need the blue ribbon to enter it. You find that on the same floor.
6. Trebor Sux?
Trebor is Robert backwords. Its really not much of a clue.
7. How do I beat W E R D N A?
Werdna, (Andrew backwards), is very hard. Make sure you make a copy of your
scenario disk before you attempt to kill him. That way if you die you can
recover your character. If you can afford it, use Mahaman. There is a great
chance it will kill all the monsters instantly. Don't worry about the
experience, you gain 250,000 when you return back to the castle with the amulet.
8. Oh no, I lost all my stuff!
After you beat the game you lose all your stuff. You can ether keep the 250,000
experience, or recover your characters if you'd rather play Wizardry 2 with your
old items. Its your choice.
9. I can't transfer my characters to Wizardry 2, it says non-xferable items?
You have to get rid of your blue ribbon, and other keys. Sell them at the
trading post, that way if you ever xfer back, or start a new game, you can
already have all keys. You won't need them in Wizardry 2.

Description
NAME is the true name of the spell
AREA is the area of affect of the spell:
Foe - a single monster (or NPC)
Group - an entire group of monsters
All - all groups of monsters
Char - a single party character
Caster - the caster of the spell
Party - the entire party
Summon - the spell summons a new monster to join the party
DAMAGE is the amount of damage that the spell either deals or heals
TRANSLATED NAME is the descriptive name of the spell.
DESCRIPTION is the exact details of what the spell does.

Dumapic informs you of the party's exact position from the stairs
to the castle
HALITO Foe 1-8 Little Fire
Halito causes a flame ball the size of a baseball to hit a monster
for 1-8 HP
KATINO Group Bad Air
Katino causes most of the monsters in a group to fall asleep
MOGREF Caster Body Iron
Mogref reduces the casters armor class by 2 temporarily

DILTO Group Darkness
Dilto causes one group of monsters to be enveloped in darkness, which
reduces their ability to defend against your attacks
SOPIC Caster Glass
Sopic causes the caster to become transparent, and reduces their armor
class by 4.

MAHALITO Group 4-24 Big Fire
Mahalito causes a fiery explosion in a monster group, doing 4-24 hit
points of damage.
MOLITO Group 3-18 Spark Storm
Molito causes sparks to damage half of the monsters in a grou for
3-18 hit points of damage.

DALTO Group 6-36 Blizzard Blast
Dalto does 6-36 hit points damage.
LAHALITO Group 6-36 Flame Storm
Lahalito does 6-36 hit points of damage.
MORLIS Group Fear
Morlis causes a group of monsters to fear the party, twice as
powerful as Dilto.

MADALTO Group 8-64 Frost
Madalto causes 8-64 hit points damage.
MAKANITO All Deadly Air
Makanito kills any monsters of less than 8th level (about 35-40 hit
points).
MAMORLIS All Terror
Mamorlis causes all monsters to fear the party

HAMAN Change
Haman has random effects, and casting it reduces your character's level
by 1.
LAKANITO Group Suffocation
Lakanito kills all monsters affected by this spell. Some monsters are
immune.
MASOPIC Party Big Glass
Masopic reduces the armor class of the entire party by 4.
ZILWAN Foe Dispel
Zilwan will destroy any one undead monster.

MAHAMAN Party Great Change
Mahaman does something random, stronger than Haman and the wish is by
choice of the caster.
MALOR Party Apport
Malor teleports the party randomly when used in melle, but if cast in
camp, you can decide exactly where you want to go.
TILTOWAIT All 10-100 Nuke 'em 'till they glow
Causes 10-100 hit points of damage to all monsters.

Dios restores from one to eight hit points of damage to a party member.
KALKI Party Blessings
Kalki reduces the armor class of all party members by one.
MILWA Party Light
Milwa causes a softly glowing light to follow the party, revealing
secret doors.
PORFIC Caster Shield
Porfic lowers the armor class of the caster a little.

Calfo allows the caster to decide what the trap on a chest is 95%
of the time.
MANIFO Group Statue
Manifo causes some of the monsters to beocme paralyzed temporarily.
MATU Party Blessing
Metu lowers armor class of all party members by two
MONTINO Group Still Air
Montino causes the air around a group of monsters to stop transmitting
sounds and therefore makes it impossible for them to cast spells.

BAMATU Party Prayer
Bamatu lowers aremore class by four. (three in Wiz 5).

Dialko cures paralysis, and cures the effects of Manifo and Katino

LOMILWA Party More Light
Lomilwa is a more powerful Milwa spell that lasts for the entire
expedition.

BADIAL Foe 2-16 More Hurt
Badial causes 2 to 16 points of damage.
DIAL Char 2-16 More Heal
Dial cures 2 to 16 points of damage.
LATUMOFIS Char Cure Poison
Latumofis cures poisoning.
MAPORFIC Party Big Shield
Maporfic lowers the party's armor class by 1 and lasts for the entire
expedition.

BADI Foe Death
Badi gives the monster a coronary attack, which may or may not cause
death.
BADIALMA Foe 3-24 Great Hurt
Badialma causes 3 to 24 hit points of damage.
BAMORDI Summon Summoning
Attempts to summon one group of monsters from the elemental planes to
fight for the party.
DI Char Life
Di causes a dead person to be resurrected, but the character has only
1 hit point, and it doesn't always work.
DIALMA Char 3-24 Great Heal
Dialma restores 3 to 24 hit points.
KANDI Caster Locate Dead Soul
Gives the direction of the person the party is attempting to locate and
is relative to the position of the caster.
LITOKAN Group 3-24 Flame Tower
Litokan causes a pillar of flame to strike a group of monsters, doing
3 to 24 hit points of damage to each.

Level 6
LOKTOFEIT Party Recall
[Wiz 1-4] Loktofeit causes all party members to be transported back
to the castle, minus all of their equipment and most of their gold.
[Wiz 5] Party is transported back to the castle with all of their
equipment and gold. The spell is forgotten after casting and must be
relearned. There is a chance the spell will not work.
LORTO Group 6-36 Blades
Lorto causes sharp blades to slice through a group, casuing 6 to 36
hit points of damage.
MABADI Foe Harming
Mabadi causes all but 1 to 8 hit points to be removed from a target.
MADI Char Healing
Madi causes all hit points to be restored and cures any condition
except death.

KADORTO Char Resurrection
Kadorto restores the dead to life, and restores all hit points.
MALIKTO All 12-72 Word of Death
Malikto causes 12 to 72 hit points of damage to all monsters.

---Secrets / Tips---
There are various codes and secrets throughout the game.

* With a bishop you can identify certain letters or numbers until it says
success, and gain experience and gold:
Identify 9- The bishop gain 100,000,000 exp.
Identify J- The player below the bishop gains 100,000,000 gold.
Identify S- The player below the bishop gains 100,000,000 exp.
* To gain a lot of experience on Level 1, head down the the hallway you start
facing, then take a right. Continure till you pass a door, then turn left 1, go
north 1, turn right, then head straight until you reach the end of a corridor.
Kick and you will go through it. Continue and search each of the rooms until you
fing a statue with a hole in it. It will ask you to seach, and you will fight
one or two Murphy's Ghost. For killing two with a 6 party, everyone gets 1463
experience!
* If your playing, and something bad happens, say one of your characters dies,
or is level drained, you can recover your game to how it was when you left by
powering it off. Then simply go into utilities, and (R)ecover. You will be back
in the castle, like nothing happened.
* You can duplicate your gold and items by making copies of your disk with the
characters. Going into utilities, and changing the names. Giving all the gold
and good items to one char, then switching scenario disks to your real one.
(A)dd one of your chars. Give that character all the gold and good items,
then leave the game. And start back with your good disk. This way you can gain
infinite amount of gold, and the items you have. You can even duplicate
Characters this way.
* Never pay at the adventurers inn. You can rest for free. Have your priest heal
everyone with spells, then go back to the inn, and rest your priest again. This
will restore its MP, and you will avoid spending money at the inn, as well as
aging.
