Rapax Quests |

Free a PrisonerInitiated: Rafe, Rapax Rift #1Completed: Rafe, Rapax Rift #1 Reward: 100,000 experience and information regarding the Rapax Templar Quest. Prerequisites: None Details: Rafe is a prisoner held within the cell (#1) in Rapax Rift. He has received the "Mark of Death" and requires the Staff of Ash in order to remove this mark. Make your way from Rafe's cell south through the passage. Follow the path all the way to the east and swing north and continue into an area where three more prisoners are in cells behind small lava streams. Exit this area to the west and cross the wooden plank bridge. Pick up the Flame Quencher Wand (#10) and take possession of the Sanctum Key (#11). Proceed back out of this area to the end of the railing by the wooden plank bridge and make your way down the narrow path to #20. Click on the unsteady tunnel supports (#2) causing the lava passage just to the north to fill with rocks. This allows you to travel the Red Carpet Hallway to the teleporter (#4). Take the teleporter to the doors (4a) leading to the Inner Sanctum and use the Sanctum Key on the large double doors. Just inside the Inner Sanctum is another set of large doors leading to the east. Exit through these doors and follow the passage around and down to #14. Use the FlameQuencher Wand on the flaming building here. At this time the Lava Lord will attack the party. Defeat him and take possession of the Staff of Ash which was inside the building. Proceed back up to the Inner Sanctum and take the teleporter (4a) back to Red Carpet Hallway. Make your way back to Rafe by operating the levers and gates (#19). Give him the Staff. |

Rob the Royal TreasuryInitiated: N/ACompleted: Rapax Castle Upper Level #9 Reward: Zatoichi Bo, Assassin's Cap, Amulet of Rainbows Prerequisites: None Details: You will observe a message in the hallway outside Ferro's Smithy about some chests which are inaccessible. In order to gain access to those items you must obtain some deposit slips to "withdraw" the items. It is quite obvious the Rapax Constable (Rapax Castle Cellar #1) is a man who enjoys his booze. It wouldn't take much to get him so drunk he won't notice a hand or paw patting down his pockets. Either pick his pocket or kill him to gain possession of his key. Once you have the Constable's key use it to open his wall safe on the east wall of the Constable's Office in Rapax Castle Upper Level (#6) . Here you will find three deposit slips. Take these deposit slips to the Strange Mechanism (#9) and use them. A pair of dumbwaiter doors to the west will open allowing you to take possession of the items one at a time. |
Become a Templar |
All the actions to complete this quest will take place in the Rapax Castle Main Level (RCML) and are listed below in the order they must be performed. |
Step 1) (RCML #8) Speak to Surdan to see Al-Adryian for the first time. |
Step 2) (RCML #10) Speak to Al-Adryian for the first time to begin the Templar Quest. |
Step 3) (RCML #9) Speak to Saydin, tell him "Al-Adryian" sent you and pay the fee to gain access to the Temple of the Initiate. |
Step 4a) (RCML #13) Temple of the Initiate, obtain the 3 Canezou Items.
To obtain the items you will need to defeat a pair of Elemental Lords and
answer a riddle.

Step 4b) (RCML #13) Temple of the Initiate

Step 4c) (RCML #13) Temple of the Initiate

Step 5) (RCML #10) Return to Al-Adryian and he will give you some Dark Nectar and send you to the Altar of Al-Sedexus. |
Step 6) (RCML #11) Use the Dark Nectar upon the Altar of Al-Sedexus and "sacrifice" one party member to her. |
Step 7) (RCML #12) Speak to Al-Adryian to complete the Templar quest.
Reward: 100,000 experience and you are now Rapax Templars and have access to the teleporter to Ascension Peak. |
Becoming a Templar has a price, your freedom. Remember, the Demoness Al-Sedexus likes to keep her Templars "close" to her. |
Kill the DemonessInitiated: N/ACompleted: Rapax Rift #9 Reward: Removal of detrimental conditions from the "sacrificed" party member. Reward: 3-5 Random Items from the Rapax Castle Good Treasure List without penalty of a Level Sensor Prerequisites: Become a Rapax Templar Details: Your "sacrifice" will become Enthralled and Hexed when attempting to leave Rapax Territories. In order for this to be alleviated you must kill your Demon Lover. (Rafe will have given you some direction if you performed his quest.) You must travel to Rapax Rift and make your way to the Inner Sanctum (#5). Proceed north toward the trapped room (#6). DO NOT enter this room before opening the panel to the east and disarming the the trap. Once the trap is disarmed proceed to the High Priestess' Chambers (#8) and take possession of the Beckoning Stone. Take the teleporter at 4a and then take the teleporter #3 to point 3a. A large set of doors with an elaborate lock can be found just a few steps to the northwest. Use the Beckoning Stone on the lock and battle El Dorado, Al-Sedexus' pet demon. Once her guardian is dead proceed to her chambers (#9) and do the deed. If you are a stickler from a role playing perspective you may want to gain possession of the Demon Weapons created by the Higardi Master Smith Ceirdan since they were designed specifically to kill Al-Sedexus. Normally by the time you reach this point the party has more powerful weapons at their disposal. See Miscellaneous Quests for details. |

Reward: None An unfinished Quest. The Rapax Queen asks for your assistance in escaping and although you fulfill all the requirements you cannot take her out of her cell. |
