Upon entering Trynton:

The forest has become unnaturally quiet. Even the birds have gone silent. Before you can put your finger on what's wrong, you spot the Shaman. He seems to totter unsteadily on his staff. As you approach, you can see that he bears many wounds - fatal wounds.

He speaks, "You are...too late. The Rapax arrived last night, their swords drawn and their hearts filled with hate. They were looking for you. Of course, we refused to tell them anything. And so... we died. The Rapax stormed through the town, killing anyone they saw. I fought them as best I could, but I could not hold them back. The path ahead of you is not an easy one, but I must ask one thing of you. Remember us..."

With that, the Shaman releases his grip on his staff, and falls to the ground - dead. It is then that you realize the enormity of what has happened. The Rapax have erased the Trynnie from the face of the planet.

In my searching through game files I have found unused dialogs and this was one of them. So the credit for this entry goes to SirTech itself. Apparently one of the things they did not have time to implement. It certainly helps us to fully understand the ramifications of some of the statements made during one of the game endings. I felt it deserved mentioning as it gives new depth and understanding to the game.
