Since most items only received one or two entries all have been declared winners! Too much work to set up voting forms  when most entries would win by default for being the only entry anyway. Check out the new Unused Item Menu to view all entries, quests, and the forms where new entries can be made. Yes, I am still taking entries, I am enjoying reading them too much to close this out. I hope everyone else enjoys them as much as I do.

To make a long story short I recently had appendicitis. Unfortunately for me I am very pain tolerant and my immune system works in mysterious ways so my appendix had actually been ruptured for around 10 days give or take a few before they actually discovered I had appendicitis. During those days it was all I could do to get out of bed for a few minutes each day since I was so tired and feverish. I was thinking I probably had the flu or something and rest was a good thing. I spent a few days in the hospital after it was removed and came home feeling ready to take on the world. Between running to doctors for follow up appointments and trying to rest up a bit I haven't had much time to work on the voting forms. 

A severe bout of bronchitis has now followed on the heels of this unusual occurrence, I guess my immune system fought so hard against the infection from the rupture that it was ill prepared for this. I may have to return to the hospital in a couple days and am currently very tired and not able to muster the energy to do much of anything. 

I will work on the voting forms as I can and will post a new voting date once they are completed and have been tested. In the meantime new entries will be accepted but may not be posted as quickly as before. All entries received will appear in time for the voting when all is ready.

Using the Wiz8 SLF viewer one can discover item graphics that never appear in the game, or if they do, these items have no known function or purpose. Other items will be recognizable as those used by friendlies and foes alike, but the party has no access to them. Some of these items even have the look of a possible quest about them.
 
To Enter
View the Unused Item Page and if you see something that tickles your imagination then use the appropriate form link and complete it with your design idea.  Some items working in conjunction with others may generate a quest idea, when this happens then list each item in the form. Then simply submit the form. 

Let's try to "keep it real" and submit design ideas in keeping with the game design. For instance, let's not make an uber weapon capable of killing the bosses in a single blow.

All submissions need to be in by October 30th 2004 by midnight EST. If 48 hours elapses after your submission and you do not see your entry posted on the Individual Item Entry page then please email me with the item details and I will see to it that it gets posted right away.
 
Viewing Entries
All design ideas will be listed on an Individual Item Entry page, with separate pages linked to from the Unused Item Page. All those submitting information will remain anonymous until the judging is over. Once judging is complete the item will appear on an Individual Unused Item page (the same as Individual Item pages already on the site) with the name of the winner listed with the design information.
 
Judging
On November 1st voting forms should be ready for viewers to choose their favorites on the Individual Item Pages. Please vote only once for each item. All votes need to be submitted by November 15th 2004 by midnight EST. The winning entries will be listed by November 20th and the Individual Unused Item pages will be posted by then or soon after.
