RPC Overview

RPCs are Recruitable Player Characters. This means you can ask these individuals to join your party and travel with you. They will advance the same as your characters and you will control how their attribute and skill points will be used. You may also class change most RPCs to whatever profession you may wish.

Forewarned is forearmed so they say and many of these RPCs have limitations on where they are willing to travel. If you force an RPC into an area they do not wish to enter they will complain, rather loudly. If they remain in these areas for any length of time they become hexed, thus diminishing their abilities.

The RPC pages contain personal information, starting equipment list, locations where you first find them, areas to return to find them after dismissal, areas not entered, conditions that need to be met, if any, before they will join you, and other unique information for the individual.

Personal Information: This includes name, current profession, and starting attributes.

Starting Equipment List: Lists all the equipment the individual has when you first recruit them. When an RPC is dismissed this equipment is moved into party inventory for you to do with as you choose. There are exceptions however, the items in purple are "treasured" items that they do not part with willingly.

Location found: You will find RPCs initially at these locations.

Location after dismissal: Once dismissed from the party many RPCS return to the location where you found them initially, or very near it.  There are of course a few exceptions. Many RPCs can be recruited again but some may not, those who will not join the party more than once will have the word "None" listed here.

Conditions: These are any conditions that must be met in order for you to recruit the RPC. You may need to perform quests or form certain alliances, among other tasks in order to gain a traveling companion.

Unique Information will be noted with an * and explained on the individual pages.

Areas not entered: The keyword here is "Areas". Areas may include more than one map. The chart below defines which maps are included in each area. NO RPC (Glumph is the exception) will ever enter the Rapax Away Camp/Wilderness Clearing map. The reason for this will become clear once you reach that stage of the game.
