Oubliette was first released on the University of Illinois' PLATO system on November 18, 1977. It was one of the games that inspired the first role-playing games on the PC such as Wirzardry and the likes.
Oubliette was ported to the PC and Commodore 64 platforms in 1983.
The iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch version of Oubliette was released on August 26, 2010.
The version for Android phones was released on February 3, 2011.
