One billion thanks to you Steve for excavating this gem!
You deserve all our gratefulness for the first new Wizardry scenario
that we've been waiting for more than 7 very long years.
Black Stone - Briefing
Your quest is to descend into the dungeons beneath the city to seek out and
vanquish the undead lich, Llorgarth. The lich has stolen the greatest of the
magic power stones, the "Black Stone" and only by regaining this gem and
returning it to its rightful owner, your master, Lord Valacar, can the city be
saved from evil. Along the way you will face the minions of Llorgarth and other
denizens of the maze, together with the tricks and traps the lich has set to
defend his stronghold. But you may also find help from unexpected quarters.
Good Luck!!!
| blackstone.zip | This is the Black Stone scenario with supporting files. It is in Apple II disk format. You will need an Apple II emulator to run it. Read the "readme" files before asking for help. |
| AppleWin v1.17.2.0.zip AppleWin v1.20.0.0.zip |
This is an Apple IIe emulator for Windows for the above scenario. Unzip it in the same folder you put the game into. v1.17.2.0 runs well out of the box, if you want to use v1.20.0.0 then go into the AppleWin Configuration (joystick/speaker button at bottom right) and remove the check mark in front of "50% Scan lines". The AppleWin web site is at: http://applewin.berlios.de/ |
| dragonquest.zip | This is the DragonQuest scenario. Of special interest to Black Stone players is the Player's Guide inside (available in both MS Word and Text formats), it contains the very useful spells lists... |
If you need a utility to unzip these files go to www.shareware.com and search for winzip or pkzip.
